of artwork from students in grades pre-kindergarten through grade eight. This
year’s fair will be in the school gym (date TBA). We invite all to attend.
Band
We are planning to continue the Instrumental Music program at school.
Paul Effman Music serves many schools
throughout the area and is prepared to continue the program at school this Fall.
This program will be available to students in grades 3-8.
There will be instrumental music lessons involving the following instruments: Flute, Clarinet,
Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone and Percussion. There will be small group lessons
during school once a week.
Learning to play an instrument is a life long experience. Many studies have shown how students with instrumental
experience do better on SAT scores, have better social skills, continue education through
college, and appreciate diverse perspectives, openness and flexibility in
thinking.
The current cost of the lessons per student is $46 per month October-May. There are discounts for families with
more than one child in the band. Instruments can be rented or purchased through Paul Effman Music. Rental
prices are $99.00 for all instruments (per school year) except Saxophone, which is $139.00 (per school year).

with the faculty and staff. They also help
raise funds for school-wide activities,
including social events, community projects
and scholarships for graduating students.

provides the opportunity to purchase school
supplies for the students. The store is open
once or twice a month in the lobby. Dates
are published in the school calendar.
