Dear Parents,

This letter is to serve as a follow-up reminder for any parent who needs to come in to fill out the necessary paperwork for the Salem
Five tuition payment plan put in place for the upcoming school year.  It is also to address any misconceptions parents are having about
this new tuition payment policy.

The tuition payment plan with Salem Five will eliminate the considerable amount of time spent tracking tuition monthly and following up
on delinquent accounts.  It will allow the school to manage its cash flow more effectively and meet the School’s financial obligation to
pay our teachers and vendors on a timely basis. In addition, it fulfills the recommendation by the Archdiocese during our audit last year
to seek a third party tuition collection system.

St John’s is NOT receiving all tuition monies up front.  The School will be allowed to withdraw a portion of the money each month.

Please understand that multiple alternatives were considered.  When selecting a bank with which to work, the needs of the parents were
kept at the forefront.  There will be a 5% interest charge which translates to ~ $73 a year for tuition of $2,900.  A link has been placed
on the School’s web site that will allow you to determine the cost associated with your families total tuition responsibility.

If choosing the payment plan, the interest and tuition increase is less than $200 per student for most of the student population which
translates to less than $20 a month.  All involved in these tuition decisions are very sensitive to the needs of families and at the same time
we, collectively, need to recognize escalating costs as well as salaries required to retain our dedicated teachers.

We hope this letter addresses all of your issues.  If not, please feel free to contact Maureen Kelleher, Lisa Gagliano or the School
Board with any concerns.

Sincerely,

Maureen Kelleher                                School Advisory Board
